People who grew up in the 90s feel great pride for their generation. Nowadays, even being born in the 90s is reason enough for kids to call you "old." If your children have ever asked you about what life was like "in the 1900s," I would like to offer my sincerest apology; Those kids are wrong for talking about the 90s like that.
When I was in high school, being born in the 90s was considered a badge of honor. I was born in 1999 and held onto the title of "90s Kid" like there was no tomorrow, even though I probably didn't deserve it. So much online culture in the 2010s was devoted to nostalgia about how awesome the 90s were, and they were not wrong about that. 90s kids were the last generation to grow up without the internet dominating their childhood and teen years, and that's something worth romanticizing.
