Memes That Take Entertainment One Step At a Time

We all like to associate looking at memes with the many other conveniences of modern life, the ones that are solely about instantaneous dopamine hits. It's true that this is a part of the whole meme viewing experience, but it has other layers to it as well. In some ways, memes are just as much about the journey as they are the destination.

In fact, there isn't really any destination; we're just here along for an endless ride through whatever passes for humor on the internet these days. Memes are to be experienced in the here and now, but they're also so numerous that we're basically doing that same process over and over again, until we know more about popular meme formats than we ever cared to before. It's pointless and it's bittersweet. It's also enjoyable, so here are few a more of 'em to semi-interestedly mull over. You know the drill by now.
