With Prime Day just in our wake and 40 boxes on our front porch, it's hard not to look at your modern life and wonder how we got here. Well, Jeff Bezos would like to argue that it's his borderline-slavery business model that reached the hearts of millions of Prime goblins, but what it really is, is that Bezos cut out the middleman when it came to convenience. Now we don't actually have to run errands to get dish soap anymore, we can just have it appear overnight from the Amazon fairy. Now, because of a fake "holiday" that a corporation thought of, we can buy useless junk that's 10% off on Amazon Prime Day from our couch. It's like going to a weird neighbor's garage sale, but from the comfort of your own home.
