Although it's deemed a bit of a wintery hobby, real crochet experts are tangled in yarn year round. Fortunately for most indoor hobbyist, they have a whole army of furry companions to keep them company when the weather outside is foul. Look no further for the world's biggest yarn expert and skein enthusiasts– cats. Similar to every cartoon you watched on Saturday mornings as a kid, cats in real life have proven to be mesmerized by the ebbs and pulls of yarn or string. For crocheters, that means that they're a menace. They lock onto the quivering tails of your patterns and relentlessly yank the yarn until they unravel your entire doily. Although they may seem cute and harmless, cattos are the #1 reason for crochet failures and calling-it-quits mid-project. So do your best to keep those clawsies from snagging your stitches, but nothing will stop your cat from coming for your newest throw blanket that's going to end up costing you $400 in supplies.
