Useless Cat Fails to Capture Rodent Intruder, Becomes the Mouse's Trusty Steed Instead

Cats are supposed to attack mice. It's the natural order of things for a kitty to be the scariest, most intimidating predator to any smol critter– especially rodents. We've all seen Tom and Jerry and heard phrases like “playing cat and mouse” before, but is it always true that cattos are just the bloodthirsty beasts that rats make them out to be? One useless cat on TikTok, Stevie the grey tabby, has proven that some cats lack the motivation to be predators and will let the prey animals just walk all over them. LITERALLY.

Stevie the cat was brought in to exterminate a mousy intruder. His owner plucked him from a deep sleep and brought him right in front of the mouse in question, hoping that Stevie would capture or eliminate the pest and bring him to justice.

Instead, Stevie mostly just stared at the mouse, either perplexed or simply not caring enough to lunge at him. Honestly, he WAS just sleeping, so perhaps Stevie thought he was in a very realistic dream. Either way, the fearless mouse called the homeowners bluff and approached Stevie, no doubt bargaining for his freedoms.

Seeing an opportunity, the mouse jumps onto Stevie's back, knowing he'd be completely safe if the cat couldn't see him. The cat seemed a little confused but not entirely phased by being mounted like a horse. The knightly mouse moved in on his new-found steed.

Stevie seems pretty unbothered by the fact that a mouse has just become his overlord. In fact, he seems quite okay with the arrangement. The mouse however has just won nature's lottery and is moving quickly up the food chain!

What's extra cute is that Stevie literally couldn't care less that there's a mouse on his back. Fortunately for all the vermin in the house, it seems as though this is one cat that's gone against its natural instincts, mostly because it's too physically taxing to capture a mouse anyways. Stevie is le tired and quite frankly, we get it.
