You'd expect to wait just a few minutes, an hour at most, for most weddings to begin. You arrive, sometimes have a beverage or a little snack, and then you're ushered in as the ceremony begins.
But not every wedding party is so meticulously planned as to start on time. These guests ended up waiting for hours and hours at a gazebo for a bride and groom who took ages to show up to their own wedding!
The story, as told by u/worldlysentiments to r/weddingshaming, is a wild one. The OP was a guest at the wedding, and said that they arrived at 3:45 for a 4 PM wedding. However, there were only a few guests out of hundreds, and all were hanging about outside. Even by 5 PM, the guests were directed elsewhere, but there was no wedding decorations, chairs, or anything else set up to indicate a wedding ceremony.
The tale only gets crazier from there, scroll down to read the whole thing for yourself! Then check out some super awkward situations people got stuck in.
