    StormBeyondTime That's why you check times and routes before caving in to whiny delivery customers. The routes would have had to be plotted out by hand by the drivers, but they did have plenty of paper maps in 1999.

    angelmakr9 If Steve was any good at his job he would have talked to the delivery driver first. Everyone knows the driver knows all the ends and outs of their delivery route.

    BobsUrUncle303 Everyone got their just desserts. Ali got rightfully fired as a customer. Steve had to pay you OT because he wimped out to a whining small order customer. And you got to take a paid 4 hour break at OT rates.

    zangetsuthefirst Just a mumbled comment on passing about "I wonder how much Steve is charging the store for me to be set back like this" would have ruined Ali's good mood and you would have gotten to see his reaction

    crazygrof I'm also a delivery driver, but one of the things I like about my company is that once it's on my truck I choose how, when and in what order I deliver stuff in. If a client complains then my manager points out that the only thing we guarantee is that we'll be there before the day ends.
