It's remarkable that these employers thought they could get away with this ridiculous new policy… especially in this day and age. This thread was posted to Reddit by u/RobbieNguyen, who explained that their friend works as a medical scribe at a company that clearly is suffering from a high turnover rate. So what did they decide to do to combat this problem?
Well, rather than investigate why folks are leaving and trying to create stronger incentives to stay, they decided instead to do away with two weeks as proper notice and enforce 30-45 days. Perhaps they felt that amending the issues of turnover was too big of a problem to solve, so instead they just decided to make things less desirable for employees. On top of that, we're all pretty sure that this kind of policy is invalid and cannot be enforced anyway. Sounds like a choosing beggar employer to me!
