They say that some pets get separation anxiety when we leave the house. Well, some hoomans get separation anxiety from their cats when they're calling for them from the other room and that darned Mochi isn't responding… again. It's not your cat's fault that they don't come when they're called. They're biologically predisposed to care less about the human slaves living in the house than we care about them. It's simple science. So next time your ringing the bells on your cat's toys and calling his name in a shrill little voice to try and coerce them, remember that the only language these gods speak is pspsps and they are pisspisspissed that you're interrupting their nap. You my be obsessed with your catto, but he is less obsessed with you. Does that make this unreciprocated relationship a toxic cat environment? No– it just makes you a crazy cat lady, just like the rest of us.
