It's easy to forget how much Disney changed the theme park game. Before Disneyland opened in 1955, no amusement park had ever achieved such a level of immersive theming. Arguably, no theme park has surpassed Disney ever since. You could make the argument for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but I'm not in the mood to make that argument.
What set Walt apart from the copycats who tried to replicate his success was his attention to detail. He was a control freak regarding the details of his park, and it obviously paid off. No part of any Disney park feels like a concrete lot with rides scattered around like many budget parks like Six Flags evoke today. Disney has been at the top of its game since the beginning, and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. If you wish you could ride the Country Bear Jamboree this instance, these Disney memes will brighten up your day.
