'Where's my 40% coupon?': Karen demands multiple discounts on her order, manager steps in and sides with employee

It's rare when the manager intervenes and stands up for the employee, so let's savor this moment. Usually, we are accustomed to coming across stories on the Internet in which the manager throws the employee under the bus "in the name of customer service," as one fellow in the comments of this thread suggested. However, in this instance, our manager not only took the side of the employee, but he also served up a little bit of malicious compliance along the way.

It's a common policy in stores that stacked coupons don't apply, so you can just imagine this Karen's ire when she learned that she couldn't get both her senior discount (10%) and her 40% coupon.
