It's as if one cat thought 'oh, we can mess with the human this way,' and immediately, the other cats agreed and went 'oh! We can mess with the human this way.' And they all decided, collectively, that it was the most fun thing they could pawwsibly do. Sigh, cats are such jerks, we love them so much.

Really, cats are a lot smarter than some people give them credit for. Like, yes- there do exist single-brained cats, and we love them in their own way as well. But cats who have more than one braincell are capable of outsmarting us in ways that no one would ever expect.
