The conventional standard of beauty is ever-changing, and it's impossible to keep up with, which is actually a good thing because it isn't something we should be keeping tabs on. Everyone has their own preference, and the best thing we can do for ourselves and the people around us is to be ourselves. Something that gives us the ick may be exactly what somebody else is looking for. The best example of that would be Zack's intense gaze (Love is Blind fans, anyone?) that made Irina run for the hills, yet Bliss found it incredibly attractive.

So to conclude, embrace diversity. The standard of beauty is subjective anyway, and it's an ever-evolving concept that varies across cultures and generations.
