Work isn't a place that many of us want to spend more time at than we have to, but that's not the case for everybody. For every individual who is despairing at the sheer amount of unpaid overtime they do, there is a person who will hang around in the workplace even when they're meant to be on their way home.
This was a phenomenon which one TikToker took issue with recently, as she talked about her bafflement at employees who choose to milk the clock. She relayed an example of this from when she worked as a waitress, and she was confused by how one of her co-workers seemed to eke out the end of every shift on purpose. Arguing that there was not enough financial incentive for somebody to act like that, her point of view split opinion. Some viewers were inclined to disagree, and they had some surprisingly valid reasons.
