Altering our bodies is one of those things that many of us overthink. While we don't want to do any permanent damage, not every needle we commit to our skin has to have some profound meaning to justify it. When it comes to people who modify their body for aesthetics, they generally fall into one of two camps: those who think it looks pretty sweet, and those who will corner you at a house party to tell you their entire life philosophy through their tattoos.
It comes as little surprise that Grimes seems to fall into the latter camp. The musician, Elon Musk ex, and occasional sh*tposter has entertained Twitter recently with her musings on body modifications. Claiming that changing her body 'from the way God made it' was because of her 'altered mind', she accompanied her tweet with a picture of her latest ink.
People were quick to turn the tweet into a silly meme, showcasing all the tatts that they thought were a good reflection of Grimes's opinions. There are some good selections here.
