'I want to be notified about EVERY single critical issue!': IT employee complies with boss's demanding orders by overflowing his inbox

Be careful what you wish for, boss! There are some managers out there that are living through their workday with such tunnel vision that they have fully convinced themselves that they understand the daily ins and outs of what their employees are doing. However, the reality is these managers likely have zero idea about what's actually going on at the ground level. In truth, if they were given the responsibilities of the lowest person within the corporate structure, they probably wouldn't know the first thing about how to complete their tasks. 

 

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/iStabs, an employee who was working directly under this kind of manager. Let's also pause and inform our readers that once again, a team of IT employees has proven that they are not to be messed with when it comes to so-called "emergencies." This group of workers has to deal with countless "emergencies" every day, and so when mistakes are made and your clueless manager demands that they be notified of all emergencies in case this kind of thing happens again, they have no idea what's in store for them.
