There's nothing worse than messing up in front of someone you're trying to impress. And yet, based on this r/AskReddit thread, it's clearly a common occurrence. I, for one, can attest to this. In fact, there are countless examples I could give here.
We're talking about unhinged phone calls professing my love to someone I barely knew. We're talking about sending text messages accusing the other person of ghosting me when it had been less than 24 hours (I was going through something at the time, ok?). We're also talking about sending a dating app profile screenshot of a crush to said crush by accident and failing to cover it up privately.
So clearly, I've been there, and if you identify with any of these examples or any of the anecdotes included below, please know that you are not alone. Because the truth of the matter is that everyone has clearly done something like this, and perhaps we should rethink our approach to these embarrassing moments. If embarrassing things happen in front of your crush, maybe that should be taken as a sign of care rather than a dealbreaker. Hey, I'm just trying to make lemonade out of lemons here.
