One of the best things that I've experienced as I have matured is a genuine contentment with being single. If another person comes along to share my life, great! If not, there are a whole world of experiences, achievements, and relationships for me to explore that don't require being coupled up.
I also try not to take it for granted that feeling like this is a massive privilege. All our lives, most of us are indoctrinated that we can only achieve the correct level of happiness through marriage. While we may see plenty of examples of how this couldn't be further from the truth, it doesn't stop the idea from affecting peoples' attitudes in the worst kinds of ways.
Sure, not everyone using dating apps is looking for love, but even the ones just hoping to get laid seem to have no idea how to conduct themselves. This often leads to regrettable encounters like the ones below. If nothing else, where are our manners?
