After 2 Years of Begging, Wholesome Boyfriend Surprises His Girl With the Golden-Weenie Puppy of Her Dreams

If you grew up with a certain kind of family dog, chances are you'll be drawn to that breed again in your adulthood. Folks who always had dogs around actually feel a void when they don't have a pup on their own, so when you're used to a home full of wagging tails and slobbery kisses, it's a bit lonely to return to your pet-less studio apartment.

One woman, a young professional living on her own with her boyfriend, felt that void widen over the last several years and began to obsess about getting her very own puppy– specifically a golden dachshund, or a gold weenie. Her dreams became a reality last weekend when her boyfriend, after two years of begging, finally caved and surprised her with her very own golden guy.

The girlfriend, who had just come home from a long shift at the hospital, came waltzing into the house like she always does, scrubs on and ready to relax. But her boyfriend was waiting for her on the couch with a giant gift bag open on the coffee table. What could be inside? She approached slowly at first, in disbelief, then she ran over to peek into the bag. Immediately she started having a minor mental breakdown, breaking out in hot flashes and losing her breath with excitement. Overjoyed and overheating, she ripped off her shirt and curled in the fetal position on the ground, completely in disbelief at the little golden boy waiting to be held and loved. 

After a few moments of hyperventilation on the floor, the boyfriend (who looked a little blasé about the whole ordeal) reached into the bag to bestow upon his woman the pup of her dreams. Immediately, Stuart the golden weenie dashed over to her neck and nuzzled into her, causing another round of heaving sobs. 

The happy tears went on for almost an hour as the girlfriend realized her childhood dreams had come true. What's truly amazing is that the dog, in the midst of a hooman breakdown, knew exactly what to do right away. Some say that he immediately started filling out emotional support animal paperwork.
