Getting hired to do a job probably means that you expect to be doing that—and only that, with some exceptions owing to the amazing flexibility that you mentioned on your CV. Now most would consider flexibility to be somewhere within the realm of odd hours, odd jobs, and scoping out new and unforeseen business initiatives… However, being told to go paint your employer's collection of rental houses when you're employed as a retail manager or being made to babysit your boss's infant child when you're employed as a receptionist probably isn't what you were picturing when you were chucking buzzwords on your CV.
Employees who are forced to perform tasks outside of their job description may not have the proper training or experience, putting themselves and any charges in dangerous or compromising positions. Despite this, most will silently do as their told as not to "rock the boat" and put themself out of a job.
Still, there are those employers out there who regard themselves to be their employee's masters, feeling that their workers should be glad that they had the good graces to provide them with the means of putting food on the table and a roof over their heads, feeling themselves to be boundless to employment regulation expect their employees to obey their every command. Blind to the detriment that their own attitude is bringing their business.
