There are so many people out there who genuinely believe that cats are aloof and unfriendly creatures. But they don't understand. Cats are extremely friendly - they love cuddles, they can't live without getting attention, they will shove their forehead into your face and sit on you to show you they love you.
It's just that… some cats need more time to learn to trust humans. Feral cats are not the most trusting, and we get that, so if you take an unsocialized or feral kitty into your home, you have to understand that it might take a while to get it to trust you. They're not aloof or unfriendly, they're simply suspicious and trying to see if you deserve their trust. And although it might take a while, when they finally take that first tentative step toward you and show you affection for the first time, it will be the best feeling in the world.

This is exactly how it works. If you show a cat that you respect them by giving them space (and treats) and letting them come out to you when they're ready, eventually, they will be ready. It might take a couple hours, might take a couple weeks or months, but eventually, it'll happen, and it'll be worth it.
These are what the first steps toward love look like. Yeah, yeah, we know that it sounds farfetched, but you have to start somewhere! And these two kitties coming out to see you is the first step, and that's impurrtant.
