Each and every cat behaves different when it comes to showing affection. Some cats are known as 'velcro cats' - those are the cats who are so cuddly you won't be able to detach them without working for it. Some cats get cuddlier with age - they start off not so affectionate, and then, with time, they wanna cuddle more and more. Cats show affection to their humans differently - each individual one.
And some cats don't really show affection to their humans at all. Until they do. Shy and aloof cats will take longer to show affection, but chances are that with enough time, enough respect, and enough space, they will come around. They will show you how much they appreciate you eventually, and when that day comes, you will be the happiest human ever.
It really is the best feeling in the world when your cat finally decides to show you affection. Of course, we're sure that this feeling is magnified tenfold when it's a cat that doesn't show affection on a regular basis, but even for us, who don't have it happen all that rarely, it's still the best feeling ever when our cats choose us.
Yes, under the law of the catverse, you are indeed not allowed to move ever again. Only once your furball allows it, will you be able to move, and it doesn't matter how much you need to go to the bathroom. You are now a bed, and you must deal with it happily.
