At the turn of the century, Derplandian society discovered an amazing tool to deliver their derpy message to the world: fangtabulous film! Through the power of the screen, they could display their culture to other nations, with derpy comedy acts and slapstick films, without having to send their entertainers to foreign and dangerous lands.
Though this tactic worked for some of their neighbors, not all of them were smitten by the Derplandian film medium, and found them to be lacking depth. That all changed when a half-Woofertonian, half-Derplandian filmmaker rose to prominence with the gritty, yet somehow derpy masterpiece, 'The Good, The Bad, And The Derpy', which managed to bridge the gaps between Derplandia and other nations, bringing forth a multitude of amazing animal friendships.
