'I had earplugs in and could hear you screaming the entire time': Karen and Kevin get called out by passenger for shouting during the whole flight

Airplane etiquette continues to be on the decline. First of all, no matter how hard I try, whenever I board a plane, I am always in Group 9, toward the back, in the middle seat, and right next to the bathroom and/or a crying baby. Given all these circumstances, I am already in a sour mood before the plane even takes off. The last thing I want on top of all this is to hear a loud conversation take place throughout the duration of the flight. But leave it to the Karens and the Kevins of this world to make someone's in-flight experience even more anger-inducing.

 

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Walfredo_wya, who had to endure a seemingly endless discussion from two rows behind him despite wearing earplugs. Clearly, the earplugs were not strong enough because when the passenger confronted Karen and Kevin about all the noise they were making, he was able to list off all the details from their conversation as proof that he (and everyone around them) could hear every single word that was uttered. Of course, Karen and Kevin did not take this well and started cussing out the passenger. However, as many folks in the comments section mentioned, there was still a sense of triumph that the Redditor was able to risk taking one for the team and give that entitled couple a piece of his mind. If I were a witness to this exchange, I would have given this dude a round of applause.

I had a crazy woman next to me on a flight to LAX once would not shut up, and then as we're all waiting for the line to get moving she's whining about how long it's taking. The girl found someone she knew, SWITCHED SEATS with another passenger, then talked loudly the whole flight. The poor guy did not interact with her other than some 'oh yeah's, 'reyear's, and 'true's...when we got off the plane I told my husband that if I had to hear her voice again I would flip out.

    Font - Well she got on our shuttle to the long term parking lot and was STILL TALKING to the guy she met on the plane. It is like 11pm now and my husband told her to take a hint and shut up. She was offended and looked to the guy for backup but he just looked away. Never been happier with silence in my life.
