'My boss leaves 11 voicemails': Truck driver gets back at boss who won't allow breaks

If your parent sets you up to get a job, it's understandable why you'd want to give the role a chance. However, for this person, the red flags were waving almost as soon as they met the dude who was about to be their boss.

First impressions matter a lot, which is why some bosses will put on their happiest face while interviewing. That's what happened to u/iheartzigg, who told the r/MaliciousCompliance community about their disastrous trucking gig. It seems like the OP's boss managed to seem normal throughout the interview process, but the OP quickly realized it was a just a ruse. By the very next day, the OP found out that the entire workplace despised their boss, John. That's never a good sign — when other workers try to warn you not to work somewhere on your very first day, the red flags could not be any more apparent. 

The OP probably felt even more pressure to stay since their dad was the reason they got it. Plus, as they mentioned in their story, they wanted to give John a fair shot to prove himself.
