This food delivery guy got the oddest instructions ever — and they weren't even from his actual customer.
Working in the food delivery industry can be quite lucrative if you do it right. Some delivery people can make hundreds of dollars per day between their salary and their customers' tips. Food apps like Doordash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats are so popular that it's no wonder delivery folks sometimes use multiple apps at once. If you're working for two or three separate services, you can try and combine your orders to maximize your profits.
But it's not all fun and games, as you may have guessed. Delivery drivers have to encounter all the people of the world. Worse, they have to deal with these people who are hungry, and they're not always patient with the person responsible for their dinner's arrival. Rude customers will always exist, but this OP's dad encountered an entitled employee at a hotel he delivered to.
It seems like this employee just made up a rule out of thin air. Perhaps he wanted to mess with this delivery driver, or maybe he just wanted to feel powerful. Regardless, at least this OP's dad got some excellently petty revenge on him in the end.
