Double standards in the dating world is a concept that has not really had much exploration but is present EVERYWHERE. These double standards basically come down to the princess treatment that women feel they deserve from men that they are not receiving because of hook-up culture and the men feeling that women are out there just to break hearts. It becomes an endless feedback loop of people crushing each other's hearts and bringing on other problems like trust issues and insecurity.

Meanwhile, a lot of people are aware of how they hurt others in dating but don't seem to feel too much remorse. Our theory is that people are reflecting past traumas on future potential relationships because apparently nobody can be different and everyone will ultimately not be worth the trust. But this mindset is only harmful to finding healthy love.

The hope is that if we are able to expose these double standards in dating, people might recognize them in practice and stop hurting each other so badly. Disclaimer: Don't take all of these to heart, they are simply the portrayal of these cruel double standards.
