We are privileged to be able to share our lives with our cats, and boy, do they want to let us know about it. Our feline friends will stop at nothing to assert their superiority over us at every opportunity.

To be honest, it's hard to blame them. They are the party in this relationship who has the cushiest deal. We have to go to work to buy them food and clean the carpet when they're sick on it, and all they have to do is show up and look cute.

Based on this, it's only fair that they give us something that isn't just based on their fickle affections. That's where the wonderful world of cat memes come in. We're only occasionally laughing at their expense. In fact, most of the time we're just tickled by our undying devotion to them. They're a naturally funny animal, and we have no choice but to honor that.
