‘Thank you for fixing me’: Mother-to-be unable to have viable pregnancy becomes kindred spirits with local black cat, finally gives birth to a healthy baby girl

If anybody is in need of a good cry, come closer. This is a happy story, but you can't enjoy happiness without a reminder of the sadness (you've been forewarned).

Martha Keith was going through a very difficult time after she miscarried. She went home with nothing but eyes full of tears, until she stumbled upon an angelic feline. The local black cat, who she found out later was named Smidge, appeared out of nowhere and was instantly sweet and comforting to Keith. The cat came back day after day to cuddle and give love to this hurting mama.

“Thank you for fixing me,” Keith writes on her video of the story. Apparently, after a while of Smidge's visits, Keith got pregnant again and eventually gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. She fully felt like her black cat friend helped her and was the guardian angel to her finally having her child.

Eventually, Smidge's visit got less and less until it stopped entirely. She knew they were a local cat, so she went around knocking on doors asking if any of them owned this black cat. She came upon a family who knew exactly the cat she was talking about, their cat Smidge.

“He always seemed to know when someone needed him,” they told her. Unfortunately, shortly after Keith's baby was born Smidge got cancer and had to be put down. Now, she feels Smidge was there to help her bring her baby into this world and then left to be with her babies that didn't make it into this world.

ANYWAYS, HOPE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE CRYING NOW. See the entire wholesome story below. (If you need a pick-me-up after that, check out these heartwarming cat memes.)
