July 31st is a crucial day in the Harry Potter fandom. Today is Harry's birthday, and if you go by the canon of the books, that means he's turning 43 today! Harry's birthday has a lot of significance in the series because his 11th birthday is the first day he's properly introduced to the wizarding world via Hagrid's bombastic entrance. Harry's birthday is usually not the happiest day because he's stuck with the Dursleys. Even his 17th birthday is marked by the death of Hagrid and Mad-Eye Moony.
