Font - Company revoked my access so quick I was kicked off the call when they were laying me off Right when my manager said "and today is your last day" I saw her click her mouse and I was logged off of everything- even the call in which they were laying me off. I had to rejoin with my personal email. What a dummy. I think of it every now and then and laugh.

Font - // Edit: holy I'm sorry all y'all have had similar experiences. There was a moment where it really sucked and made me feel bad but I'm over it now and happy to not be working there anymore with those spineless babies.

Font - Add: I rejoined the call because it was a layoff and not a firing. I wanted to hear about my severance and I also hadn't been reimbursed for a flight I had booked for work. I had to handle my business even though I was so... pissed.

Font - Add: there was no IT department at this company, so don't praise them for being on top of things in any way. One of the software engineers doubled as the guy who made the corporate emails.

Font - TheyTasteFunny - 19 hr. ago Basically the same thing happened to me last month. Direct boss couldn't even look at the camera. He hung up and HR told me "your last day is today, you'll get a full day pay for today typing and we will be send..." click.

Font - The next two weeks they texted or called everyday to try to get me to tell them how to do things or where such and such was. Each time my only response was a contractors day rate. A day rate that went up each time they contacted me. It's their own da fault for immediately letting me go and not giving time for handoffs. 4.7k 4.7k Reply Share

Font - West PhilippinesSea. 20 hr. ago My company had a door pad code and they wouldn't lay you off during work hours after you left for the day they would change the door codes and leave your things outside in a box, next day you show up to work see the box and realize it's your things 1.4k Reply Share

Font - tracerhaha 21 hr. ago My wife found out she was being laid off during her vacation when she lost access to her emails. Then when she called her boss to ask about it he refused to confirm and told her to call his boss. I hate that car company with the heat of a 1000 suns. 1.0k Reply Share

Font - footiebuns 20 hr. ago edited 19 hr. ago I've heard a lot of horror stories about being escorted out of the building by police, or unknowingly locked out of email, or even reading about layoffs in the news before getting notified. But this...this is new a one... 535 Reply Share

Font - WeirdStretch • 19 hr. ago We went through some layoffs. We got a sudden email that morning stating that some of us would be getting a meeting request from our direct manager within the hour.. The whole d hour nobody worked, everyone was panicking and messaging each other. And zero work got done the rest of the day. I survived. But I have been phoning it in since then. that 134 Reply Share
