Growing up, everyone dreamed about their perfect wedding. We watched The Parent Trap in 1998, The Proposal, and the royal wedding on TV, we had a pretty good idea of exactly what we wanted on our big day in white. What we never realized is that all of those weddings cost literally millions of dollars. Why can't regular people have perfect, beautiful things too? After you were engaged, you and your future hubby probably put together a ramshackle budget with loose boundaries, but since the wedding vendor quotes came rushing in, you're starting to think that everyone's going to eat drive-through burgers on paper plates and your 'band' is going to be a Spotify playlist (with ads, because at this rate, you won't be able to afford Premium). 

Elopement never sounded more enticing.
