Font - Neighborhood Watch Hey everyone I have a few words for our community. Also I can't respond to comments so if you agree please DM me or comment on my page. So here it goes, If you want the ugliest yard in the neighborhood, just put up halloween decorations. Simple. What kind of modern society wants to see dead bodies and such? I wish some people would grow up and have some class. We are better than this. Why not decorate with beautiful things? Isn't the purpose of a decoration to beautify?

Font - Karen Doesn't Like The Batting Order This happened yesterday, and I'm still flabbergasted by the gall of people. I coach my 9 year old's summer baseball team. If you know anything about little league, you'll know summer baseball is only about staying active. There's no mandatory practices, no tournament, only 2 games a week over a 4 week span so the kids get to keep swinging. It's basically the pick-up version of organized little league baseball.

Font - Last night was our second to last game, so we've been playing for 3 weeks. I start warm-ups 45 min before every game so the kids can get loose, this has been known since before our fist game. I put the lineup together 30 minutes before game time, because at this point I should know who is and isn't going to be there. I knock that task out as early as possible so I can get back to warm ups with the kids.

Font - Said Karen rolls in with her son 20 minutes before game time. I'd put him at the bottom of the batting order and had him sitting out on defense the first inning because I wasn't sure when I did the lineup if he was coming. There's this perception that the worst players on the team bat last. So, seeing her son at the bottom of the batting order set her off. Mind you, her son plays on select teams (which is a pay to play advanced league, doesn't necessarily mean you're the better player) an

Font - She proceeded to try and argue with me, in front of everyone, that she'd been on time for warm ups the prior week and no one else on the team was there, so they came later last night because we weren't actually starting 45 min early like I said we would. First, that's not true. Granted I've missed 2 of the games, but when I'm there I'm always there an hour early and she is never there on time. Second, her son skipped an optional practice I held because it wad "only a practice". So they're

Font - I wanted SO BADLY to say "hey, this is a volunteer position. You want to set the line up? You coach next year". Instead I had to placate her by saying it wasn't about her son's skill, because it wasn't, but about him being late for warm-ups and the fact I'd already set the line up. She proceeded to jump on the phone and start complaining about me, then hovered by the dugout the entire game.

Font - TLDR; Karen didn't like that I put her son at the bottom of the batting order because they were late for pre-game warm ups and proceeded to me out in front of everyone. Coaching is a thankless job folks, and Karens leech ALL of the fun out if it.

Font - Make Karen In The Wild Karen So I'm buying a house and part of the process happened today. I had a guy out from a pest control company and at the end he told me this story:

Font - His company does inspections but if you sign up for monthly termite control they do it for free. The catch is that due to the program they use, they have to charge you $0.01 for the inspection. No problem right?

Plant - Well apparently to one dude it was a problem. He said "you're charging me a penny? I thought the inspection was for free!" Some peoples kids man....

Font - "The K-word" Karen I work as a CSR in insurance- related work with field contractors who are absolute gems dealing with homeowners who are under tremendous amounts of stress due to emergency situations like floods, trees, fires, etc. It's not uncommon we get people who are upset they didn't get a call from us two seconds after they hung up with their insurance company because it does take time to get a claim request over to us, especially if things are busy like they were yesterday.

Font - One lady called to complain that she hadn't heard from anyone but also had heard from many tree companies and she "didn't know who to trust" and was like why didn't you tell me who you were sending out but also mentioned that one of the callers who left a message identified themselves as being with our company - the only one. So I'm not sure what I was supposed to do about her paranoia that apparently she can't trust anyone but she did have a tree on her house so I gave her a little leewa

Font - do you want me to help you get all your stuff resolved or not? We can sit here on the phone all day listening to you or I can get the guys rolling to help you? Made a note to the contractor assigned that hey sorry she might be a bit difficult because of the situation etc. - they're used to this and are amazing at calming homeowners down. But this lady-

Font - I had the contractor call me after he stopped by the home to give me an update and he goes "yeah man she was really difficult. Kinda a-a "k-word." I almost started cracking up - at first I thought he said something else and then was like no he said a k-word.....did he mean Karen?? It was just hilarious to hear an older guy call someone that, and to say it like he did. I got a kick out of it and so did my coworkers; it made getting yelled at a little better. Just a little.
