The Funniest Harry Potter Memes of the Week (August 8, 2023)

I recently rewatched the first Harry Potter movie for the first time in a couple of years, and boy howdy, do I have thoughts! When I watched the first couple of films before, I wasn't focused on the performances. I was more intrigued by the stuff they kept and cut from the books. This time around, I could not get over how silly and fun the performances of the adult cast were. Alan Rickman as Snape left me in stitches. The Dursleys were so ridiculous I could not take them seriously. Nobody talks about how Hagrid is the emotional core of that first movie, and Robbie Coltrane's performance is so stellar.

Rewatching the movie, I also realized how much the child actors were child acting. Don't get me wrong, I think they got better as each movie went on, but you cannot tell me that Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe gave award-winning performances in those first two movies. If you're a Potterhead who can't believe I just said that, please refrain from yelling at me and enjoy these Harry Potter memes.
