These people replied to an r/AskReddit post requesting people's dumbest solutions to issues that actually worked to resolve the problem. Tons of commenters shared strategies they've used, from "percussive maintenance" to using the wax wrappers from cheese snacks to fix a license plate.

Some people had really great solutions for getting around fees at doctor appointments. Instead of cancelling their appointment and getting a charge for it, one person just moved up their appointment to three weeks later. Then, they cancelled that. Keep that in mind next time you find yourself needing a last-minute out! I've actually done this life hack before, too. But I wasn't nearly as brazen as that person — I rescheduled then cancelled in two separate calls, just in case the receptionist was onto me and my sneaky plan. Whatever works!
