Grief is a terrible thing, and it affects everyone very differently. Some people are able to move on from the death of a loved one surprisingly quickly, while others never get over it as long as they live. Even for a person as important as your life partner, the grieving process looks different for every individual. Some people are able to remarry within a couple of years of their husband or wife passing, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. However, there are those widows and widowers who cannot even conceive the idea of getting into a new relationship after their partner passes, and that's okay too. The most important thing is to be supportive of people who have lost someone close to them and help them to live the life that they want to live. One mother thought it would be a good idea to pressure her widower son to remarry through his daughter, and the internet is understandably upset about it.
