You know that Lord of the Rings meme with Elrond saying "I was there 3000 years ago"? Well, I was actually there, when Notch started making Minecraft. I remember seeing one youtube video about the Alpha version of the game and being absolutely blown away by the potential of this small indie game. On his website, Notch offered people to buy this very early version of the game for 20 dollars with the promise that they will get every future update for free. And what can I tell you? Even after selling the game to Microsoft for over 2 billion dollars, Notch kept his word and I can still download the game whenever I want to, using my very old username and password. 

Minecraft was, and still is, one of the greatest games ever made, and it is no surprise that it is actually the best-selling game of all time. Way to go, Notch!
