So, what was up with Kylo Ren? I mean, personally, I think he had so much potential. He could have been a better character than Darth Vader. Instead of a Jedi giving in to the dark side, we have someone who desperately wants to be bad but is struggling with his good side. I have to admit, that is a very interesting take on the hero's journey. As the audience we could have sat there rooting for him to abandon his ways, wanting for him to understand the errors of his way. And as the new trilogy unfolds he would have been drawn closer and closer to the light side only to do a complete 180 at the very end, and turn fully to the dark side of the force. the complete reverse of his grandfather's story.

Instead, we got this angry goth boy, trying to fight his feelings toward a girl he hardly knows. That kiss at the end was… Terrible.
