Woe to those who deal with sneering customers, conniving hotel guests, and Karens. In other words, I salute anyone who works in the customer service industry, because you have to be tough as nails to tackle these kinds of entitled folk.
As shared by u/anna12o, one hotel guest, who was, of course, a Karen, was making her life especially difficult, when it genuinely didn't have to be. You know those types of people who pay for something and then just assume that buys them a one-way ticket to be worshipped? Yes, that is this particular Karen.
OP was working as a breakfast attendant at a hotel that Karen was, unfortunately, staying over at, and breakfast hours were between 6-9. Sometimes OP ran a bit late, but never more than a few minutes. Well, 6 o'clock arrived, and breakfast wasn't quite ready. Other guests waited patiently, but this Karen came stomping in a few minutes after 6, deciding to begin her day with some good old Karen discipline. She yelled at OP, demanding that breakfast be on time.
This Karen then continued stomping right over to OP's manager's, because she wanted to ruin a minimum wage employee's life even more. Why eat half when you can have the whole cake? The manager got involved, as managers do, and OP was reprimanded and given a warning. Furious, OP decided that from now on, she was going to maliciously comply with this Karen's demands, and made sure to single Karen out the next morning at breakfast.
