Isn't it amazing that there's a different chapter of the Star Wars saga for nearly every generation? Say what you will about the prequels, but as far as little 10-year-old me was concerned, there was no Star Wars withoutThe Phantom Menace. I can still remember waiting in line with my family to see the movie. I was full of nervous excitement even though I had no idea what to expect. My parents had watched the original Star Wars trilogy a million times before, but at the time, I'd only ever caught snippets of it here and there. Free from the poison of public opinion, irony, and hot internet takes—my blissful childhood innocence allowed me to fully enjoy The Phantom Menace. And you know what? I still enjoy it. Yeah, I said it. Looks like I've got the higher ground now.
