Neighborhood Gardener Gets Even With the Corner-Cutting Teen Trampling Her Garden, Using a Freshly Laid Manure Trap

There are some Hobbiton-esque neighborhoods where there are no fences and green grass rolls along every knoll. Here, residents can find tranquil corners of unencumbered, pristine nature, just outside their window– *record scratch* except when there's hooligan teenagers cutting habit trails in your lawn! 

In this case, one woman, an avid gardener and nature lover, found a troubling nemesis in the likes of a thoughtless teenager. The boy simply wanted to shave a few minutes off of his walk to school, but ended up burrowing an unsightly trench through the woman's yard with each step. Although a fence would do the trick to stop the corner-cutter, this crafty gardener found another way to exact her revenge: Manure.

    Font - One section of his chosen route we have been planning a flower bed. I decided, "today is that day!". I dug out the section, and put down the new loose compost (including manure of course). I then left my hosepipe squirting water on this patch for a few hours to suitably moisten the soil. To finish off, a scattering of grass clippings on the top!

    Font - _my_choice 10 hr. ago If you can get some, chicken manure is very high in nitrogen. If he walks through that he will smell a block away. He may smell it but not know where it is coming from. If he does problem solved. Your neighbors may not like it, but if kept watered your plants will.

Finally, he took out his camera, (he is a retired photographer, so it is one of those big cameras.) He started pretending to take pictures. There was no film in the camera... lol. The kids asked what he was doing, he looked at them and said evidence". They never came back.
