Font - ravenshymn 3 days ago Mine whimpers when she's having a nightmare. I pet her for a bit and she's back to happy dreams, probably involving salmon. 601 Reply Share

Font - perpetualis_motion 3 days ago Ours regularly has the hair on her spine stick up like she is in a fight. If you try and wake her quickly like touching her, you get the wake and hiss, so we have to call her name gently until she wakes 97 Reply Share

Font - quattroformaggixfour 3 days ago So does mine, she'll start lightly growling or whimpering and twitching like she's running. It makes me so happy that talking to her gently and stroking her fur soothes her. Best thing is when she wakes up happily afterwards and you know it helped. 16 Reply Share

Font - Life_Flatworm_2007 3 days ago I'm pretty sure my cat gets night terrors. Every 6 months or so she will start screaming and wake up in terror. She's scratched me trying to escape from whatever nightmare. It's the strangest thing. Give him extra cuddles. He needs them 382 Reply Share

Font - CloudyDays WillCome 3 days ago Oh no, poor baby. My cat also had frequent nightmares for a while and I still believe that she got mistreated as a baby and abandoned and left to starve when she wasn't even two years old. So many times when she fell asleep she would start to whimper and yowl and it broke my heart.. I started to pet her when it happened and it seems to have helped, she would calm down. She hasn't had many episodes for over a year now, it only happens every few months now. 23

Font - BacteriaDoctor - 3 days ago My girl dreams a lot. She sometimes sits up and looks around confused, but she's never woken up hissing. Bonus: She twitches a lot when she dreams and usually has her eyes half open. It's not creepy at all. /s 135 Reply Share

Font - usually_hyperfocused · 3 days ago One of my cats dreams, and she like... tries to run in them. She always ends up falling off of whatever she's sleeping on, and then she looks at us like it's we must have shoved her from all the way across the room. Sometimes she also has such a killer nap that she sort of slides off the edge of whatever she's sleeping on. It scared the bejeezus out of me the first time, but the vet says she's fine, just a funny sleeper. 41 Reply Share

Font - Ifergy 3 days ago This is how my cat has dreams too. I just try to pet her and calm her down. Sometimes she growls and it's just so cute cause it's a sleepy growl & not her actual angry one. Reply Share 3

Font - Other_Mike 3 days ago We've had a few cats do this. We just hear confused mews from the other room as we're drifting off. We'll call out their name and hear the pitter-patter as they make their way over. Reply Share 3

Font - Maybe_Strict 3 days ago My Sebo had a nightmare while he was curled up in my arms with three out of four paws and a nose all tucked into one of my hands. Fortune teller'd be real confused by the results of abrupt kitty nightmare. Several new lines on that palm. 36 Reply Share

Font - vedenmorsian . 3 days ago Aawh :( Poor baby. Our old girl used to have nightmares frequently. She'd wake up the same way. In her case, i think she was seeing nightmares about her past before she came to us. I'm glad we were able to give her the best life she deserved. Reply Share 31
