What does this phenomenon boil down to at the end of the day? Well, folks, the answer to that is totally pure entitlement. That's what this vacation family of 18 had, specifically the two grandmother Karens who were communicating with this Redditor, who shared his story via this thread on Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit.
OP had a side hustle running hot tub repair business, but he was known by a local property manager as being the one person in the area with access to water transport equipment. So, when these Airbnb Karens ran out of water, the property manager called in a favor and OP went out of his way on a weekend to help. You would think that these Karens would be grateful for this last-minute service, especially considering the fact that if OP didn't help at all, they would have to find a different rental home immediately. However, OP was only met with entitled behavior. In fact, the Karens demanded that OP clear his entire schedule the following week to provide more water for their house, since they have so many people staying at the rental home. That complete disregard for OP's schedule set him off and he refused to give in to them. Power to you, OP!
