I keep seeing these extremely strange online posts that are designed to make parents catastrophize. The basic gist of it is that "once your child turns five, you've already spent 50% of the time you're ever going to spend with them." It insinuates that as your child gets older, you're going to see them less and less and less, and without fail, every time I see this post, somebody is in the comments saying, "This is why I'm going to homeschool my kids."
While it's true that you spend tons of time with your kids when they are little, you never know how much time you're going to be able to spend with them. It's important to live in the moment and not constantly freak out about how much time you have left together. If you love spending time with your kids and want to live in the moment, these parenting tweets might be a little too relatable.
