This flustered employee found an interesting solution to their problem, writing, "I just wish I'd thought of it 30 minutes earlier."
U/Theoryofrelativetea shared their excellent malicious compliance story with the internet. It all started when the OP got a summer job at their university. They were going to be teaching some courses to high schoolers, and in order to start that job, they need to get fingerprinted. This is a standard practice for many jobs where you work with children, just as an additional layer of security. But surprise, surprise: at the police station, the OP was subjected to an incompetent system that made them waste a bunch of their time.
One of my favorite things about the modern age is that many places will text you 24 hours ahead of your appointment to remind you of it. This is a great idea in my opinion, it makes it easy to never miss an appointment. But just because you know an appointment is going to happen, doesn't mean you won't get caught in traffic or stuck on a subway train that refuses to budge. At a certain point, it's up to luck, as this person found out in their tale.
After you scroll through this person's story, this teen works a donut shop job with an awesome perk, but their classmate is going to ruin the fun for the whole class with her complaints about the treats.
