Landlords can be the scum of the Earth. Especially when they hike up the rent 10%, paint over your electrical outlets, and are clearly under the impression that the entire world exists for their profit. They'll scam their tenants out of anything if it means making an extra buck– At the risk of losing our residence, is there any way for us tenants to retaliate? So even for tenants who contribute a ton to the property and turn their rent check in on time every month, a landlord just sees you as a walking/talking dollar sign with opposable thumbs and an email address.
In this case, a girl had lived at her apartment for several years, faithfully paying her landlord and keeping the place in check. She even decided to buy her own washer/dryer set because of her messy job. But when she moved out and into her boyfriend's place, she decided to take her appliances with her. She did pay for them after all.
