Parenting takes much more than putting a roof over a kid's head and clothes on their back. If you want to be a good parent, you should actually put some effort into getting to know your kids. You should know more than their birthday, age, and hair color. Otherwise, what is all the hard work of providing for them for?
Unfortunately, some parents are so inept they can't remember basic biographical information about their kids. And by parents, I'm mostly talking about dads. While some dads take a really active role in their kid's lives, you can kind of tell which ones couldn't care less about who their kid is. A clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live recently recirculated on social media. An on-the-street interviewer asked fathers if they knew their children's birthdays, eye colors, teachers' names, and schools, and none of these daddios passed with flying colors. In fact, they all failed.
