This long-time employee was wise beyond his years as he let a new hire try to make changes in their company's warehouse. He knew that you can't always make people listen to common sense. Some people just want to be correct 100% of the time so that they feel powerful. Instead of wasting his breath on arguing, this long-term employee just shrugged his shoulders and let the manager handle it his way.
New hires often feel like they have something to prove. Especially managers---they think that since they've been hired to lead, they're going to lead, starting on day one. They come in the place full of bravado and ready to make changes they can brag about later on.
But of course, it's just foolish to start changing a company you know nothing about. It takes some time to learn the ways a place of business runs, the ways the workers communicate, and the best ways to lead the company towards success. You wouldn't come into any regular job and just start telling people how to do their work, so why do so many managers do this?
At least this dude made a fool of himself, and he paid the price for his rash decisions. It seems like the long-term employee really enjoyed the day of chaos!
Up next, these people had literally just one job, and they still botched it so badly.
