when you go out to do your usual grocery shopping, you expect to be able to do it in peace. It's not the most fun activity, but is has to get done. You go about your list, get what you need, and get out. There's nothing usually exciting in between. Well, that's unless you become the victim of a Karen.
Yup, it's another Karen story for you guys! This one we found on Reddit was short and sweet and just too funny not to share. OP was simply grocery shopping when a lady approached him and very aggressively asked him where the sponges were. He was so taken aback, he just racked his brain to remember where the sponges were and just told her. She left him alone and he continued doing his shopping, trying to shake off the strange experience.
But things were only about to get even stranger. The next time he was grocery shopping, the Karen lady was there too. She approached him again to ask where something was, and he truly did not know this time. He tried to tell her this, and she, of course, went Karen on him and started throwing a tantrum. She kept questioning what kind of employee he was if he didn't know where things were kept?
Finally, when she settled a bit down, he was able to get a word in and told her he did not work there. Well, this Karen did not like this answer and responded by arguing with him that he of course worked there! She could not take his truth for reality. Instead, she stood there aggressively trying to convince him that he 100% worked there.
Finally, a real employee approached and asked what the matter was and OP explained. The real employee also tried to let the Karen know that he, in fact, did not work there, but she still didn't believe it. Apparently, this whole grocery store had a conspiracy against her. Eventually, she seemed to just get tired out and continue on her way, but she never seemed convinced that OP didn't actually work there.
Who knew grocery shopping could be such a wild ride?
