Most people probably assume that the root cause of these breakups is adultery, and you wouldn't be entirely wrong there. Cheating comes up a lot on this list, but it's the ridiculous ways in which adultery was uncovered that make these stories juicy. Furthermore, it turns out there are plenty of other reasons why people call off their engagements. There's financial reasons, there's family drama, there's cohabitation, we could go on and on.
